All dogs need their own blanket. Dogs find comfort in places they associate with the coziness of a den. They can paw, nuzzle, and rearrange a blanket to create a comfortable nest and secure sleep space.
Tall Tails wants to provide that comforting security to all dogs, whether at home, on-the-go, and especially those in animal shelters and foster homes. Every season, Tall Tails will donate a blanket to a local animal shelter. The program is simple—buy a Tall Tails blanket and the company will donate a blanket to a local animal shelter, with the goal of donating 5,000 blankets to animal shelters across the country.

West Paw’s Big Sky Blanket gets comfortably in the middle of dogs and dirt. This dog blanket is perfect thrown on couches, chairs, or car interiors to keep them clean from dander, dirt and drool. Made with smooth faux suede on one side and a soft fleece fabric on the other, it gets softer wash after wash. Speaking of soft, fashionable Fidos will love Harry Barker’s stylish sweater. With a ribbed turtleneck and sophisticated pattern, your preppy pup will look dashing from fireside snuggles to chilly winter walks.

Our friends at P.L.A.Y. have your pooch covered with their lovely Luxe Throw. It’s luxurious enough to accent your fine furniture, but tough enough to protect said furniture from slobber and other unmentionables. Choose from Truffle Brown or Husky Gray—both feature super soft, faux fur on one side and heavy duty canvas on the other.

Welcome home. They say our home is our castle, but really it’s just one big dog house and we wouldn’t have it any other way, but we can make sure our guests are greeted to a smelly-free home. Odor neutralizing candles like NelliDesigns are a good alternative to sprays and are made with eco-soy wax, an all natural vegetable wax without any additives, so they burn clean. andles come in a variety of scents including Puppy Love (lavendar/vanilla) and Home (Frasier fir).

One Fur All candles are specially made to freshen pet-loving homes, with delicious scents for the fall season like Apple Cider, with just the right blend of apple juice, cloves and cinnamon. Or, Pumpkin Spice, a blend of pumpkin, cinnamon sugar, maple butter and vanilla bean.

And, just to be safe before guests arrive, bring out the big guns with Skout’s Honor Severe Mess, Stain and Odor Eliminator, which destroys offensive odor molecules on contact.

Party time. Serve up some tasty treats with Festival Pets oven mitts and kitchen towel at the Animal Rescue Site—with proceeds going to fund food and care for rescued animals in shelters and sanctuaries.

Serve it up in style. If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that we love to spoil our pups and what better way to spoil them than with a barkuterie…er…charcuterie board designed just for dogs? Whether hosting a birthday pawty or celebrating the howlidays, your dog and doggy friends will drool for their own barkuterie board. Learn how to create your own here, starting with a paw-shaped, bamboo cutting board from Totally Bamboo.

And, speaking of serving it up in style, we love the bold look of Hiddin’s clear acrylic double feeder, pictured above with Vital Essentials’ Rabbit Mini Nibs. Made from responsibly sourced rabbit, this easy-to-serve freeze-dried dog food has a satisfying crunch and the natural goodness your dog craves. With a gentle waterfall design, Hiddin’s clear lucite pet feeder is sturdy and modern and gives the sleek metal bowls a floating effect.

Play time. When you have kids, whether they are two- or four-legged, waking up to toys under the tree is a must. Harry Barker’s plush dog toys are perfect, with pet friendly eco-fiberfill that is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Incredibly soft, their new, nature-inspired designs are sure to captivate your pup. Pictured above is their teddy bear and dapper fox, gathered together in Hiddin’s clear acrylic storage bin. As you can see, it doubles as the perfect foot rest, especially when wearing a pair of Too Cozy Pooch Parade slippers from BOBS from Skechers with memory foam insole.

Bath time. Nobody loves a dirty dog, particularly when it’s holiday party time. That’s why we love Skout’s Honor and their wide array of grooming products including Probiotic Shampoo and Conditioner. It gently cleans and moisturizes the skin and coat, with avocado oil and topical probiotics that help support a healthy microbiome to defend against common skin problems such as itching, odor, dryness, dandruff, hot spots, yeast and excessive shedding. Pair it with the Probiotic Deodorizer for a fresh-smelling house and hound!

And, while we’re on the subject, we are true believers in the Skout’s Honor Laundry Booster. We use it when washing anything smelly like dog blankets, towels and bedding, with great results. It’s not overly scented, so items come out smelling clean and fresh.

Bed time. Treat your dog to a bed that never goes out of style with the Seaside Boxy Bed by P.L.A.Y. We love any bed by P.L.A.Y., but this is their newest design, featuring a modern striped print on one side and solid color on the other, giving you the versatility to mix and match in any home décor. The entire bed is made with ultra-soft velvet fabric for the highest level of comfort for your canine, nap after nap, wash after wash. (As I write this, my dog Thya is literally curled up, sound asleep on her Seaside Boxy Bed!)

Being good all year can be ruff, so reward your nice (not naughty) friend with P.L.A.Y.’s Merry Woofmas Plush Toy Collection featuring five cheerful holiday toys in the shape of a hang-able stocking, a tasty plate of cookies, an ornament-filled Christmas tree, a tug-able elf, and a silly Santa dog toy. Your furry friend will be howling with joy once they see this set waiting for them under the tree!

Eat, drink and be merry. Perfect for picky eaters, Top Shelf Dog food is made from real, whole ingredients fortified with the key vitamins and minerals your dog needs. With ingredients like chicken, quinoa, carrots and green beans, use it as a complete and balanced meal or as a topper to enhance your dog’s kibble. Each pouch is completely shelf-stable and can be stored in your pantry for up to 12 months.

While Fido indulges, sip on a cup o’ joe while doing some good—California-based Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. is committed to using the sale of their fair trade organic, specialty coffees to support the no kill rescue community by donating 20% of their proceeds. Choose from blends like Nice List—with warm, rich, savory aromatics, it’s perfect for Sunday mornings (or every morning) during the holidays. Or, their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Blend, with notes of fresh ground cinnamon, pie spice, baked pumpkin and toasted vanilla bean.

Treat ‘em right. Ever wonder what your dog is up to when you’re away from home? Now you can say goodbye to stressful separation anxiety and have ultimate peace of mind with Furbo’s all-new rotating camera plus its helpful, real-time smart alerts! Oh, and did we mention the treat dispenser that tosses treats with the swipe of your finger? If you have to be away for the day, you can be rest-assured Fido is safe and happy with this tech gadget.

Happy howlidays. We wish you and your family—two- and four-legged—a very merry Christmas and happy new year. We also want to thank Rachel Putter Lazar and her family—especially Ajax and Jasper—for letting us invade their home again for this photo shoot (plying them with plenty of treats, of course)!
